A large number of older films around the world are considered lost. On rare occasions, such a film might eventually be found mislabelled in an archive or collecting dust in some cinema’s basement.
Due to two warehouse fires in ’57 and ’61, most of the work of animation pioneer Quirino Cristiani is today considered lost. But as Jamie Lang details on cartoonbrew.com, Cristiani’s brief 1941 film Entre Pitos Y Flautas has been found again:
